Randy Spann is the dedicated Pastor and visionary founder of Perfecting Prayer & Praise Ministries established December 5, 1999. Pastor Spann is a man of profound spiritual depth, filled with divine anointing, wisdom, and unwavering integrity. His heart overflows with love for God and a genuine compassion for His people. With a passionate commitment to his ministry, he imparts practical teachings on lifestyle evangelism, aiming to magnify God’s glory, strengthen believers, and reach out to those who are lost. Pastor Spann’s inspirational message centers on walking in faith rather than relying on sight, and he firmly believes in the essence of being transparent.
Born on February 26th, Pastor Spann is the youngest of three siblings born to the late Elder David A. Spann Sr. and Dr. Brenda L. Waters-Spann. Even in his formative years, he displayed a remarkable inclination towards preaching, often delivering sermons unconsciously, unknowingly foreshadowing his destiny as a third-generation preacher with a compelling survival story. His early years of spiritual growth and service were nurtured at Mason Memorial COGIC, under the guidance of Dr. C.B. Washington. Within the church, Pastor Spann fervently embraced various roles, including that of a faithful drummer, trustee, deacon, and minister of the Gospel. Driven by his divine calling, he pursued further education at C.H. Mason Bible College. In June 2008, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management, with a minor in Disciplinary Development, from True Fellowship College Institute & Seminary, located in Baltimore, Maryland.
On October 13, 1990, Pastor Spann embarked on a lifelong journey with his best friend and unwavering supporter, Co-Pastor Grace Spann. Their union has been blessed with five wonderful children: Bobbie, Durant II (Tabitha), Jewel (Jordan), and five cherished grandchildren. Beyond his pastoral duties, Pastor Spann is a devoted little league football coach and a thriving entrepreneur.
Pastor Randy Spann epitomizes the qualities described in 1 Timothy 3:2, being “blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, giving to hospitality, apt to teach.” His life’s work continues to impact countless lives, as he guides his congregation with unshakable faith and an unwavering commitment to the Kingdom of God.
Evangelist Grace Spann co-pastors Perfecting Prayer and Praise Ministries, alongside her husband, Pastor Randy Spann. Affectionately known simply as “Co” she was born in Ft. Meade, MD, Co where her faithwalk began at the age of seven at Greater Hope C.O.G.I.C., when she accepted Jesus Christ. Responding to the divine call at 16, she delivered her inaugural sermon titled “CHOSEN.”
Acknowledging her dedication and potential, her parents, the late Bishop Willie L. Jones and the late Rev. Bobbie J. Jones of Greater Harvest Pentecostal Church of Deliverance, Inc., ordained her as an Elder and appointed her as Assistant Pastor by the age of 19. Educationally, Evangelist Spann holds credentials from Chesapeake High School and the Center of Applied Technologies as a licensed Cosmetologist. She pursued studies at Baltimore Community College for Fashion Design, Bowie State College (BSC), and Liberty Bible College. Notably, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Theological Counseling from True Fellowship College Institute & Seminary in Baltimore, Maryland, in June 2008.
In November 2018, Bishop Joel H. Lyles, Jr., elevated Evangelist Spann within the Greater Maryland First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, naming her Assistant Supervisor for the Department of Women. This honor expanded in November 2022 when she was further elevated to the position of Supervisor for the Department of Women.
Beyond her dedicated ministry commitments, Evangelist Spann is a thriving businesswoman, owning “Perfecting You” Salon. Additionally, she leads “The Keeper of the Lighthouse Ministry,” dedicated to the holistic well-being and prosperity of God’s people. This ministry birthed “Water, Walking, and the Word,” a 21-day challenge aimed at personal betterment. As a respected author, she imparts wisdom through various seminars and workshops centered around holistic living.
In matrimony, Co-Pastor Spann united with her steadfast partner in ministry, Pastor Randy Spann, on October 13, 1990. From their union, three beloved extensions of love emerged: Bobbie, Durant II (Tabitha), and Jewel (Jordan). Their family was expanded further with five cherished “grand-kisses”.
Characterized by her elegance, unwavering integrity, and commitment to her resounding “Yes” (CTMY), Evangelist Spann stands firmly upon Matthew 5:16. A formidable prayer warrior and vanquisher of darkness, her passion for souls and boundless dedication to His service shine through her every endeavor.
